I’ve been busy.
And you know how there is “fun-busy” and “not-fun-busy?” Well, gratefully all of my stuff has been in the “fun-busy” category.
One of such things leading a mastermind with Top Funnel Agency earners. This was for $100K to $1MM+ earners.
We had a 2-hour time block with ONE objective: SCALE.
That’s right. I had 2 hours to help a room of 50 people make a marketing plan to make MORE money in 2025 than they did in 2024. And, that’s no small order since the room was already making a solid amount of money.
Now, there’s a temptation when making a “Scaling Plan” to get hyper nuanced and detailed; there’s always a pull to do more rather than less.
But, I heard a story from Russell Brunson once.
There was a woman business coach who was notorious for taking $1-$3MM businesses and turning them into $10MM businesses virtually overnight. People were begging to work with her because it was nearly guaranteed that the same results would happen to you.
Well, Russell ran into this woman at a mastermind.
He quickly introduced himself and said, “What is your secret?! How are you getting all of these people to scale?”
Her response was brilliant: “You entrepreneurs like to create, create, create. You build one product, launch it and then you’re off to the next.” She continued, “All I do is redirect your creative energy. Rather than reinventing the wheel every time with a new product, I tell entrepreneurs they’re only allowed to create new traffic channels. So, we keep ONE winning offer with ONE winning funnel. And, I let them run wild with all things traffic. But, because their energy is directed toward scaling only ONE thing, their business explodes.”
Brillant.
Leoardo Davinci said, ““As every divided kingdom falls, so every mind divided between many studies confounds and saps itself.”
In other words, “Every person divided between too many tasks DIES.”
In this mastermind room it was concluded: “Scaling Equals Simplicity.”
So, that’s all we did for two hours: Simplify, simplify, simplify.
I was so serious about it that everyone was given a sticky note. Their entire marketing 2025 plan had to be simple enough to fit on a sticky note.
That felt brutal for some people.
Others relished in it.
But the truth is that if you have a 25-page marketing plan, you have no plan at all. Your plan must be simple, and something that can be repeated and scaled over and over again.
Whenever people meet with me to help them grow their business, this is what we get clear on: what are the few things we’re going to do this year to move the needle?
One of the things that almost always is on the sticky note is collaborations.
If you can get 10 people (heck, even just 3!) to promote your product this year, the game changes. That’s 10 more audiences buying your product, 10 industry leaders endorsing your name and 10 people with influence believing you’re the go-to person for your niche.
So, if booking Joint Ventures (to get other people to sell your product) isn’t one of the primary components of your marketing game plan for 2025, you have made a massive mistake.
Gratefully, it’s never too late to adjust that sticknote.
Start booking Joint Ventures and get other people to let you pitch YOUR product to THEIR audience:
You cannot afford to not be doing this.
Get going already,
